Lohreyline Guided Turkey HuntingSpring time–cool mornings–frost–buds threatening to open–and familiar sounds that are new again. Those sights and sounds cause excessive mental lapses
and dreaming; dreams of planned hunts, dreams of easy gobblers.

Truth is, more and more hunter pressure and more
and more coyote pressure mean turkeys that are always at the top of their game–survival. Spring time means it’s time to donate to the gene pool, but many gobblers have gotten their diplomas and are headed for their master’s degree. Hopefully we will be passing out tagged permits to the birds instead of furthering their education.

I love to teach–especially woodsmanship and turkey hunting. The lab is the woods; time in the lab means discovery, new insights, and that “I have found something new” moment that adds to life’s unfolding canvas. We offer ways of working both pressured and not so pressured birds. Seems like all turkeys are somewhat pressured these days. Learn how to make big, educated, toms vulnerable, and give them the confidence to come on in!
